Aleasha & Julia – An Eastwell Manor Wedding
Aleasha & Julia got married at Eastwell Manor in Kent last year, and I was there to shoot their big day. Aleasha is no stranger to weddings, being a registrar herself and she made quite the entrance to Eastwells grounds. There I was waiting for her arrival, when I look out to see Aleasha and her Dad riding high in her car and making a grand entrance. Both Aleasha and Julia were piped in by a bagpipe player, as Julia come from a Scottish family.
Eastwell Manor is one of those venues I rarely shoot, in fact I think I’ve only shot there twice including this one, which is strange considering its in my hood. Anyway, it’s a stunning venue but my Sat Nav always takes me to some random entrance way round the back that you can’t actually get into. The staff there are always extremely friendly and helpful, and the building and grounds are stunning and a fantastic place to hold a wedding The last time I was there was with James Grist, and I ended up putting out a fire after the centrepieces caught light.
The weather was a bit all over the place. We had sun, then rain, then sun, then thick heavy clouds but we managed to get a few awesome portraits before the weather stopped play.
Aleasha and Julia both looked stunning in their dresses, and I could honest photograph Aleashas reaction faces all day long. The speeches were lovely, and Julia read out a poem that she had written for Aleasha, which brought many tears to their guests eyes. The day was overseen by the legendary toastmaster that is Jim Cattermole, who is always a pleasure to work with.
Anyway, enough of my waffling, here are my highlights from Aleasha & Julias wedding at Eastwell Manor.
