Suzy & Scott – A Pennyhill Park Wedding
Suzy and Scott got married last month at Pennyhill Park in Surrey. Pennyhill Park is a stunning 19th Century country house, set in the beautiful Surrey Woodlands. Its opulent interior makes for a fantastic wedding venue, especially during the winter when you dont want to be freezing outside. Which was lucky, although it was a bright day, it was absolutely freezing!
Suzy looked a-mazing on the day, and there was an extra guest at the wedding as Suzy and Scott are expecting! I think its safe to say this wedding was an emotional one. Suzies mum had passed away not too long ago, but Suzie and Scott found ways to include her memory in the wedding with some really heartfelt touches. Suzies sister did a reading during the ceremony and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house, it was beautifully written.
The Redfords had come over from Kent and provided music throughout the day. From an acoustic set during the day, to their full blown ensemble in the evening to get the party going.
I was joined on the day by the awesome Hannah Hall, who had travelled down to second shoot for me on the day and did an amazing job.
One of my favourite parts of the day was the group shots. During a particularly active part of the groups, a glass got knocked out of someones hand which made for some hilarious photos. The speeches were again, quite an emotional affair and Scotts speech was perfect. The best man had the genius idea, to show a short presentation which included photos of Scott throughout his life, including all those embarrassing haircuts we go through as kids.
The day culminated with Suzy and Scott having their first dance, before The Redfords took over and got the dance floor rocking.
Here are my highlights from Suzy and Scotts big day.
