If you’ve read anything on my blog before, you’ll know I used to work for Leeds Castle. I left there a couple of years ago now, and Stacey & Daves wedding would be my first trip back to the castle since I’d left. It was lovely to catch up with all my old work friends.

Both Stacey and Dave got ready at the castle, my good friend and fellow photographer Denise came along to help me out for the day and to make sure we got both of them getting ready. Dave had a little surprise in store for his new wife, He had had the Leeds Castle black swan logo tattooed across his chest, along with the date of the wedding! What a gesture that was.

These two beauties got married in the castle itself, and the room was filled with their friends and family. I think its safe to say they were both pretty nervous but they handled it like champs. As a wedding photographer, I’ve seen quite a lot at weddings, however this was the first time I’d seen a falconry display at a wedding and it went down an absolute treat. Mark, the head falconer, gave a wonderful demonstration to all the wedding guests, and even spent time afterwards talking to the guests about each of the birds. The kids at the wedding were over the moon and were thoroughly enthralled with what Mark was saying.

We went out into the grounds for the portrait session before heading back into the banqueting hall for the meal and speeches. The speeches were wonderfully heartfelt and really showed the love between the whole family. Once the speeches and food were over we all moved into the party room for the evenings entertainment. Stacey and David had chosen an uptempo song for the first dance and it wasn’t long before every joined them on the dance floor. Before I headed home for the night, Stacey, myself and some of the single ladies went outside to toss the bouquet.
